The season starts with most of the relationships not working out. Victoria and Ted break up because of Victoria still feeling odd about Ted's relations with Robin. Barney and Quinn call it quits because of their inability to trust each other.Meanwhile, Zoey's ex-husband, "The Captain," gives Lily a high paying job as an art consultant to find him art for his new art industry. After his sour break up with Quinn, Barney and Robin soon realize that they are right for each other and Barney successfully proposes to Robin.
